WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?

Do you know the average person spends a YEAR of their life looking for items they have misplaced?

YES! I said -- ONE YEAR!

Imagine what you could be doing with those 365 DAYS added back into your day...yoga, learning a foreign language, making extra money, training to climb Mt. Everest, playing with your kids in the backyard, planning your next vacation, going to a concert, going out on a first coffee date....

365 DAYS IS A LOT OF TIME to waste on running from room to room trying to find keys, your kids shoes or your favorite moisturizer not to mention how running behind affects you emotionally and mentally.

Someone who is frequently late can feel more anxious, worried and even embarrassed. Both professionally and personally, it often makes a negative impression if you're late to a job interview, a first date or an important meeting....PLUS....it can totally wreak havoc on your positive vibes that can then stick with you throughout the day....and....none of us want that!

Now being late every once in awhile or a little disorganized is no big deal but in a time when we all seem to be trying to get the most out of our limited time... making small adjustments in our everyday lives can transform our days and help us find more balance, peace and joy!

For me personally, I found that having items in order (clothes in my closet, makeup, school work) or a system for processes (paying bills, putting groceries up, etc.) kept me from losing it when I started college at 26 as a single mother of a 2 1/2 year old. Often times there were so many situations that occurred that were totally out of my control (babysitter failed to show up, the car broke down, my little girl got sick) so focusing on those areas where I had more control and could affect the outcome more gave me both strength and hope to keep moving forward.

Organize Me Now was born out of that previous frustration and now long-term application of keeping order to keep my sanity! Organize Me Now has the desire to create more functional and organized spaces on the outside in order to create serenity and calmness on the inside. I mean....who couldn't use a little more serenity and calmness?

ORANIZE ME NOW WANTS TO HELP YOU GET SOME OF THOSE 365 DAYS BACK!

You don't have to hire a Professional Organizer to know that placing like items in a basket or bin together helps keeps those items more organized and easier to find! Anyone can set up their home, car, office, she shed, man cave, garage or any other space to be more organized, have some structure and make items easier to find. You just need the right tools and tips!

About The Product

WELCOME

I am thrilled that you have stopped by my little shop!

This has been a dream of mine for quite some time and I am so happy to be able to finally put my energy and passion into work that nourishes me and hopefully will nourish my customers as well!

I am excited to offer you tips, products, suggestions and all kinds of tidbits of information about organizing your life, your home, your office and your environment!

I am a social worker by trade and therefore became intrigued by the connection between organization, chaos and mental health and this is what I want to put out into the universe.

Don't get me wrong...a person doesn't have to have color-coded cereal boxes or numbered underwear to be organized but having some type of system in place to organize your belongings that allows you to feel good about your environment is gooooood for the soul!

~ Organization isn't about getting rid of everything you own or becoming a different person; it's about living the way you want to live...but better ~

TIPS TO CORRAL THE CHAOS .... AND CREATE MORE JOY!

1. Everything--I mean almost EVERYTHING-- needs a home. Even if the "home" for an item is not completely stacked, filed or neatly organized it will still work. For example...keep a basket under the end table with all of the dog's toys in it.

2. Use a timer & do 10-15 minutes of tidying up a day. Get the kids & spouse involved. Make it a game to see who can put away the most items (in their designated spot) within the allotted time.

3. Break down large projects. Don't start with organizing the whole kitchen. Instead make a deal with yourself to "just do the junk drawer" or "just the tie collection" this week...and DO IT!

4. Weed out items on a continual basis. When you buy something new discard or donate the old item you're replacing or get rid of the same number of items you bought new, for example, if you buy 2 new blouses, find 2 articles of clothing to donate to an organization). That doesn't mean 2 pair of socks either!

5. Have DONATE & SELL baskets in your garage or other space. If you have a place for items that you want to sell or donate to go immediately, other than back in your closet or toy room, you'll actually be more likely to toss them ...AND all you have to do then is pick up the basket on your way into town!
